myotwin is a cutting-edge technology company specializing in the development of custom readout systems for cardiac 3D tissues. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented working student to join our dynamic team and contribute to the exciting challenges at the intersection of software, hardware, and data science.

Possible Projects

• Software Development:
  • Assist in writing software code in Python and/or C++ for microcontroller platforms, such as Arduino.
  • Collaborate with the software team to design and implement algorithms for system control and data acquisition.
• PCB Design and Hardware Development:
  • Work closely with hardware engineers to assist in PCB design using industry-standard tools (Altium Designer, KiCad, or similar).
  • Contribute to component selection and testing processes.
• Microscope Control System:
  • Support the development of software for microscope control.
  • Participate in the design and improvement of user interfaces for microscope control systems.
• Trigger System Development:
  • Contribute actively to the development of the trigger system, including hands-on involvement in PCB design and programming.
  • Collaborate with the hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration of the trigger system with the overall cardiac 3D tissue readout solution.
• System Optimization:
  • Assist in optimizing the trigger system's performance through iterative testing and refinement.
  • Engage in troubleshooting and debugging activities to enhance the reliability and efficiency of the trigger system.

About you

• Experience. You have worked on similar projects before. Either in a research group, company or at your very own smart home project!
• Training. Beneficial but not a must: ****Enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program (e.g. Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field).
• Open minded. Be eager to learn new skills!
• Language skills. Fluent in English and preferably also in German language.
